Here is a label made up to divide a social group of people [social division] related by an inherited pattern of thought or actions through titles and rulers.

SULTAN OF SOKOTO, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR (born August 24, 1956) (age 64) is the 20th Sultan of Sokoto. He ascended the throne on 2 November 2006. As Sultan of Sokoto, he is considered the spiritual leader of Nigeria’s one hundred million Muslims, roughly fifty percent of the nation’s population.

EMIR OF KANO, Aminu Ado Bayero, (born July 1, 1961) (age 59) is the 15th Emir of Kano from the Fulani Sullubawa clan. He ascended the throne on 9 March 2020, following the deposition of his nephew Muhammad Sanusi II by Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

 

OONI OF IFE, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II (born October 17, 1974) (age 46) is a Nigerian monarch. He is the 51st and current traditional ruler, or Ooni, of the Yoruba kingdom of Ile-Ife. He was proclaimed as Ooni on 26 October 2015. Holding the regnal name Ojaja II succeeding the deceased Oba Okunade Sijuwade.

 

OBI OF ONITSHA, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe, CFR, mni, (born May 14, 1941) (age 79) is the 21st Obi of Onitsha. He ascended the throne on 14 May 2002, [The Obi of Onitsha is not crowned; he “emerges”]. He is recognized by state and federal governments of Nigeria, and seen as a representative of the people of Onisha to the state and federal levels of government.

 

OLU OF WARRI, Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko, (born March 19, 1955) (age 65) is the 20th Olu of Warri. He ascended the throne [crowned Ogiame Ikenwoli] on 12th December 2015, at Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of the Itsekiri people in a ceremony which was witnessed by many dignitaries in Nigeria.

 

ORODJE OF OKPE, H.R.M Felix Mujakperuo, CFR, mni; rtd, Orhue I Orodje of Okpe, (born December 4, 1946) (age 74) is the fourth and current king of Okpe. He ascended the throne on 8 July 2004 and crowned 29 July 2006. He is a worthy monarch that served his nation as a high-ranking major general in the Nigeria Army. There are great expectations of the greatness his monarchy will add to the already illustrious history of the kingdom of Okpe.

 

OTARU OF AUCHI, Alhaji Aliru Momoh (Ikelebe, translated, I do not want enemies III), is the 10th and current Otaru of Auchi. He ascended the throne on 7 December 1996. He was the first Otaru of Auchi Kingdom, out of the 240 biological children.

 

ALAAFIN OF OYO, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III (born October 15, 1938) (age 82) is the Alaafin, or traditional ruler, of the Yoruba town of Oyo and rightful heir to the throne of its historic empire. He ascended the throne on 18 November 1970. He succeeded Alaafin Gbadegesin Ladigbolu II in 1970, during the governorship of Colonel Robert Adeyinka Adebayo, after the end of the Nigerian Civil War. He was a lover of boxing before ascending the throne of his fathers.

 

OBONG OF CALABAR, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu V, (born November 20, 1949) (age 71) is reputed to be initiated into the Ekpe Efik Iboku confraternity on the day of his birth. He ascended the throne on 3rd day of May 2008 and crowned on the 11th July 2008 with a staff of office. A Natural Ruler, Treaty King and Grand Patriarch of the Efik people.

 

KING JAJA OF OPOBO, Jubo Jubogha, (born 1821, Orlu) (died 1891, Tenerife, Spain) (aged 70, reign for 17 years). The slave boy who became king was a merchant prince and founder of Opobo city-state in an area that is now the Rivers state of Nigeria. He ascended the throne on 25th day of December 1870 until September 1887, he had No predecessor. Born in Umuduruoha Amaigbo in Ijaw-land, he was taken at about the age of twelve as a slave in Bonny by Obua Ajukwu of Oguta, who had come to Bonny to buy slaves. Jumo Jumofe later took the name “Jaja”.

 

ETSU NUPE, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar rtd CFR (born September 12, 1952) (age 68) Etsu Nupe or Bida (Etsu Nupe means King of Nupe) He ascended the throne on the 20th of August 2003.He is a traditional ruler who was born to the family of Late Alhaji Abubakar Saganuwa Nakordi. As an ex-military traditional ruler his reign was in 2003.

 

OLUGBO OF UGBO KINGDOM, Oba Federick Obateru Akinruntan (born 1950) (age 69-70). Is a Nigerian monarch, the paramount Yoruba traditional ruler/king of Ugbo Kingdom, a town in Ilaje Local Government, area of Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria, he ascended the throne in 2009-till present. Generally called “Olugbo” or “Oghone”. [An heir to the throne from the royal families is often appointed by the council of chiefs and the King-makers following an Ifa consultations. He is an oil magnate and founder of Obat Oil, one of Nigeria’s largest and leading privately held companies.

 

An excellent way to best express social division is the coming together of this twelve tribes. Their division plays a big role in fostering positive social behavior. Furthermore, the importance of tribes in this context demonstrates how effective and/or ineffective our patterns of thought or actions are. In this pattern, some tribes are regarded as lost tribes. Before this social observation, some time immemorial tribes had a negative impact and led to conflicting societal behaviors. Until recently, several tribes contributed effectively to the society as a social utility while a basis for togetherness is maintained.
